About Us
Working Together to End Homelessness
The Central Highlands Homelessness Alliance (CHHA) brings together organisations from across our region with one shared goal: to prevent and end homelessness.
We believe that no single organisation can solve homelessness alone. By working together, we can better support people experiencing homelessness, identify gaps in our local system, advocate for change, and create stronger pathways to safe and secure housing.
Our members collaborate across housing, health, family violence, mental health, alcohol and other drug services, Aboriginal organisations, local government and community services. Together, we work to improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities throughout the Central Highlands.
Our Vision
A community where everyone has access to safe, secure and appropriate housing, and homelessness is rare, brief and non-recurring.
A Stronger Response, Together
CHHA is a partnership of member organisations working across the Central Highlands, including the Ballarat, Ararat, Pyrenees, Hepburn, Moorabool and Golden Plains local government areas.
Our alliance provides a forum for collaboration, shared learning and collective action. By bringing together leaders, managers and frontline practitioners, we strengthen local responses to homelessness and ensure our community's voice is heard.

• work towards lasting housing solutions.
How we work
The alliance operates through two collaborative groups.
Executive Group
Senior leaders from member organisations provide strategic leadership, strengthen partnerships and advocate for system change.
Local Area Service Network (LASN)
Managers and practitioners from member organisations improve service coordination, share knowledge and strengthen collaboration across the region.
Together, these groups help ensure the Central Highlands has a connected, coordinated and compassionate response to homelessness
