Psychological First Aid Training

FREE accredited professional development!

This training is proudly funded by the Innovative Health Services for Homeless Youth (IHSHY) Program at Ballarat Community Health, to strengthen Ballarat's Community Services sector response to trauma.

Psychological First Aid training is a self-paced online course which equips you with the knowledge and practical skills to support people immediately after trauma or during historical trauma-related distress and provides insight into trauma reactions and recovery. You’ll learn how to manage distress, stabilise emotions, and connect people to support.

Self Care for SHS Workers

A single day course for SHS workers working with clients. The workplace can be a highly stressful environment; our client stories can be difficult to hear.

 

This course will assist staff to prioritise their own self-care.

The course will be conducted by MOAT: Mental Health Services. There are two days available, with a maximum of 20 participants each day. NOTE: This is Face-to-face training, at Ballarat Community Health, 12 Lilburne St, Lucas.
