Pay It Forward at Three Ballarat Cafes - Make A Difference

The Central Highlands Homelessness Alliance is recognising Youth Homelessness Matters Day 2025 by partnering with three community-minded local businesses, to bring a pay-it-forward option to their customers during Monday 14th to Thursday 17th April.

  • Homeground Café, 125 Sturt Street Ballarat,

  • Our Kitchen Social Café, 25 Barkly Street and

  • The Salty Sparrow Café, 105 Lydiard Street North

Patrons will be invited to donate towards the cost of a meal or snack to be enjoyed by young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness at that café over the coming weeks. The cafes will also have anonymous client stories displayed explaining what led young people to their experiences of food insecurity.
